Chris Standring has a winner in Soul Express. This cd is a wonderful representation of what Smooth Jazz is. The selection Catwalk is what I call good sipping music. Uncork you favorite bottle of wine and dim the lights and just chill to the relaxing sounds of one the spring and summer’s best cd. I really like the guitar licks in A Method To The Madness. Chris has a Montgomery/ Benson way of delivering his music to you (I should say a Chris Standring way of delivering). Selection 9 is one of my all time favorite songs As written by Stevie Wonder. It’s one of those Sunday drive songs you like listening to when you are clearing your mind of all the weekly stress. The title cut Soul Express is smooth with a touch of chill which reminds me I need to fill my glass and enjoy this track. There is a copy reserved for you at your local record store or on line. “Soul Express” is a winner and a must have cd.
