This is the third time Jay Denes has caught my attention with a captivating production. Blue Six “Beautiful Tomorrow” in 2003, Aya “Strange Flower” in 2004 and now Lisa Shaw “Cherry” 2005. The first track Cherry starts to journey with smooth driving seductive vocals and tight beat. When first I heard the first selection, all I could say to myself “Don’t stop listening until the end of the last track”. Hot Skin takes me back to the days of old, like when I would not leave the club until I heard Donna Summer’s Last Dance (it’s my party pick). I played It’s been a While on my radio show - Mellow Madness and before the song was over three c allers on the request line wanted to know “Who is that”!!! The Last Time has a Sade feel that will open a many bottles of the bubbly and light many candles. The holiday season is approaching; Cherry will make a great stocking stuffer.
