With Incognito or solo Maysa delivers. Sweet Classic Soul is cd number five and her music just keeps getting better. I get excited when on of my favorite singers or groups release a new cd. As soon as I check out the new cd, I call a host of friends and inform them “you need to buy a copy”. This happen with “Sweet Classic Soul” and the reply from all was very positive. The first track Wishing on a Star is just the perfect mood setter. You immediately know that you are in for the ride of your life. One of the most romantic songs of the 70’s Love Won’t Let Me Wait is my favorite but you could say that about any selection on the album. Betcha By Golly Wow will blow you away. The Stylistics, Phyllis Hyman and now Maysa have put her stamp on this timeless classic. Sweet Classic Soul will definitely get some attention on my radio show (Mellow Madness 88.1FM WFSK Fisk University Nashville TN). Every track is a jewel.
