Pillow Talk

Just think it’s been 30 years since Pieces of a Dream took off like a storm. I remember their first cd (actually the lp) “Pieces of a Dream” with Grover Washington’s heavy influence on the young group of teenagers. It was great to see young people playing jazz. At that moment in time, I thought that the track Warm Weather was the best song I ever heard. They have come a long way from the days of Disco and the early days of the Hip-Hop. The first selection grabs your attention with the catchy tune House Arrest. It’s one of those songs you want to pop in the ride and take a road trip. One of my all time favorites is Christopher Cross’s Sailing is covered on Pillow Talk. This selection is so serene and peaceful and has become a standard on many Smooth Jazz radio formats. Thumbs up fellows, you covered it well. My personal favorite is Your Love it sets off a romantic vibe that keeps you grooving from start to finish. On your way out don’t forget to drop by your local record store a pick up a copy or just go on line a buy a copy (you won’t be disappointed).
