Herbie Hancock – “Possibilities” Hancock Music Pure genius – That’s all that I can say. Well not really this cd is so multicultural. There is something for everybody in the 10 tracks. As for yours truly I have a fancy for every selection. I entered Tower Records here in Nashville and I noticed a killer song with John Mayer on vocals- Stitched Up. And if you know me you know that I will drop what I am doing to find out what is playing. That song really set the tempo for “Possibilities” Herbie’s stroking the keys and John on vocals. I have much respect for Christina Aguilera on Donny Hathaway’s A Song For You she put her heart and soul into that (I have goose bumps just thinking about it). She has to do more songs like that. Sting is great singing Sister Moon what a class act. A quote from Herbie - ”I never heard you sing like that” speaking to Sting after the recording of the song and I have to agree with Herbie that performance is fantastic. There is so much TALENT on this cd you won’t believe: Paul Simon, Santana, Joss Stone, Raul Midon, Annie Lennox and many more. Let’s not forget the multitalented piano playing and producer Herbie Hancock. There is an award waiting for this project. Buy it now so you can say you got when it was released.
